Is Gwyn’s Goop advice relatable … or just repulsive?
Celebrity megastar Gwyneth Paltrow can’t help but boast about all the money she and her friends have. On her website, Goop.com, Gwynie tried to give restaurant advice to us humans — by listing her friends’ favorite fancy eateries worldwide.
The outrageous restaurant picks included Tetou, in Golfe-Juan, France, where patrons will spend around $220 a head … in cash only. At elBulli in Roses, Spain, three friends will drop $1000 (plus the cost of airfare) on dinner. Even her pals’ American picks are ridiculous, like The French Laundry in Napa Valley, CA, where a half bottle of rose champagne costs $430 and the average meal goes for $250.
Thanks for these great restaurants suggestions, Gwyn — but the average American can only afford to spend about $17 a night on dinner.
