Do you love Taylor Swift’s signature, winged eyeliner look? Taylor’s talented makeup artist, Lorrie Turk gives you tips on how to easily do it yourself, “it really just takes practice,” she insists.
Pick the right formula:
“It’s much easier to use a cream or gel liner – they’re easier to control.”
Use the right tool:
“It’s essential to pick a good liner brush that isn’t fraying or too thick.”
Get the right line:
“Flick the liner up at the end of the eye. Don’t go below the outer corner.”
Clean up mistakes:
“Use a pointed cotton bud dipped in eye makeup remover for a clean corner line.”
Trick of the trade:
“Put the liner on last to make sure that there is no shadow falling on top of the liner which will diffuse and take away from the depth in color of the line.”
