We’ve Got Victoria’s Backstage Secrets!
Selita Ebanks and Alessandra Ambrosio tell you how they get runway ready!
“I did a liquid cleanse for three days – I wanted to kill myself,” Selita told us while she was getting her nails done and snacking on some turkey backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in NYC on November 19th. “By noon on my first day I was like, ‘kill me!’ I made it to the third day but I cheated – I had a chicken salad. I would have literally died without it!”
So, just how intensely do the Angels have to work out in order to strut down the runway in their skimpy outfits? “I went to the gym for 2 to 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. Weights, cardio and core moves,” Selita says. “When I should have been sleeping, I was working out.” All that to fit into a ‘Star Trooper’ outfit that reminds her of a Pokemon character. “I’ve named it the Star Angel–kachu! I feel like a lighting bolt in it. It’s so much fun,” she says.
Alessandra started working out hardcore a month before the show. “I do this Brazilian butt lift which is a lot of lunges and squats. It makes your butt very tight, and its all about the butt in this show. Hopefully I’m ready for tonight!” Alessandra says.
