Kris Allen Needs Home Help: He’s Sleeping on an Air Mattress!
Kris Allen isn’t living the high life just yet — this year’s American Idol winner is sleeping on a blow-up bed!
The singer confessed that he has an embarrassing lack of furniture in his home.. “[Wife Katy and I] don’t have any furniture in the house yet, but we are trying to find it. We don’t have time…so that’s why we are sleeping on a blowup mattress right now.”
Yikes, Kris….you’ve got loads of American Idol cash — hire an interior decorator!
Kris should be happy to know that HollywoodLife has done the hard work for him and found a designer who knows just what the Allen abode should look like.
“Generally, I tell my clients to incorporate any existing furniture that they wish to retain. However, in this case, I definitely suggest tossing the air mattress!’ joked James Charles, founder of DesignerAtHome.com.
But getting down to business, Charles says a man on the move like Kris should keep it simple. “Simple, clean lines naturally convey a more modern, upscale look,” says the designer. “I would also advise him to add a splash of color to the bedroom. Painting the walls is a simple and inexpensive way to add new life to a boring bedroom. Choose a color that adds warmth and light, and the place where he sleeps might just become his favorite room in the house.”
We’re guessing Kris is pretty fond of his bedroom anyway — he must be exhausted after the uber-successful year he’s had!
