Nikki Reed Copies Kristen Stewart & Says She Wants to Play Rocker Rickie Lee Jones!
Nikki Reed wants to be an onscreen rocker — just like Kristen Stewart!
K-Stew landed the role of 80’s rocker Joan Jett in The Runaways, and now Nikki Reed wants to follow in her (motorcycle boot-covered) footsteps.
Nik says that if she were to appear in a biopic, she’d like to star as Rickie Lee Jones. “Last year I went to see her at the Largo [in. L.A.] on Valentine’s Day by myself,” the starlet, who portrays vampire Rosalie Cullen in the hit Twilight series, tells Spin Magazine.
“She seems eccentric,’ Nikki continues of 55-year-old Ricki Lee, who’s famous for her jazz/blues/pop sound. “She started telling stories about her childhood, and I was thinking, ‘Oh, maybe this is the night when she wants to make this a personal experience.’ But it turns out she does that all the time.”
Nikki already has some musical experience, if her late-night Vancouver karaoke sessions with the New Moon cast is any indication. “I’m obsessed with Adele. I put on Chasing Pavements and sing it in my apartment,” she says.
But apart from her love of Rickie Lee and Adele, Nikki is all about being rock ‘n roll. “Kristen [Stewart] and I share a lot of clothes,” she confides, “so I wear a lot of Joan Jett shirts.”
Thank goodness these two are besties again!
