Jennifer Connelly recently went full on platinum for her new role in the film What’s Wrong With Virginia. Anyone thinking of taking a similar plunge be warned: “This could take up to 6 hours!” says Jan-Marie Arteca a colorist at the Ted Gibson salon in NYC who’s worked with Anne Hathaway. “First you have to get the color off with a bleach and then do a single process to get the hair blonde and then highlights to get it super blonde,” Jan-Marie says. Such a drastic change “can make the hair brittle and dry so immediately after you want to do a deep conditioning treatment,” suggests Jan-Marie.
