Michelle, you really pulled out all the stops tonight!
You look possibly the most stunning ever in your glammy beige, gold gown at a state dinner for the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, and his wife Gursharan Kaur. Apparently it’s your first state dinner so this is a big deal to go along with a big deal dress.
You’re so thoughtful and shall we say — political — you chose a dress designed by an Indian-American designer, Naeem Khan.
The Huffington Post reports that the celeb quotient was super-high: Katie Couric, Oprah BFF Gayle King, director M. Night Shyamalan, Katie Couric, Alfre Woodard, Blair Underwood, and singer Jennifer Hudson, who sang for her dinner.
The dinner menu was specifically tailored to cater to the guest of honor, Prime Minister Singh, who is a vegetarian. The offerings included potato and eggplant salad, arugula from the White House garden, red lentil soup and roasted potato dumplings or green curry prawns. Pumpkin pie tart — hey, it’s almost Thanksgiving! — and pear tatin for dessert, with the pears poached in honey from the White House beehive!
HuffPo also points out that Attorney General Eric Holder “patted his pocket as he arrived and said his kids had prepped him with all sorts of questions for tablemate Steven Spielberg.” And the wardrobe malfunction of the evening came courtesy of Sen. Bob Casey, whose cummerbund fell off just as he and his wife were about to pose for photogs.

Our economy is falling apart, we are at war in the middle east STILL, crime rates are on the rise, we have jobless rate at 17% (real),the dollar is worth practically nothing, our government is busy tyring to pass a bogus heatlh care act just to pass one, and we are checking out pictures of Michelle Obama and her man at a dinner that was paid for with your dollars and a dress that was purchased by you as well. This is a JOKE… this presidency is a joke.
