Tricked By A Comedian — Again! Oh Sarah Palin, When Will You Learn?

Sarah, listen to the question before you give your answer!

Comedian Mary Walsh got the last laugh at a book signing for Sarah Palin’s Going Rogue. The host of Canada’s nightly news/comedy show This Hour Has 22 Minutes (think The Daily Show with a woman at the helm) ambushed Palin at a Borders book store to get words of encouragement for conservative Canadians who have “worked so hard to try to diminish the kind of socialized medicine we have up there.” Palin took the bait.

“Keep the faith!” Palin responded. “Common sense conservatism can be plugged in there in Canada, too. In fact, Canada needs to reform its health care system and let the private sector take over some of what the government has absorbed.”

Maybe Sarah shouldn’t have been so quick to answer this question. If she’d listened to it again in her head, she probably could have saved herself a lot of embarrassment.

“Good luck in 2012!” the comedian shouts to Sarah as her tour bus drives away. “It’s the end of the world, anyway,” she says to the audience. “So, what odds?”
