Update! Jake Gyllenhaal & Reese Witherspoon Are Still Together, Their Reps Say!
What a relief — These two are too cute to quit!
Update: Despite earlier reports to the contrary, Reese Witherspoon‘s rep, Nanci Ryder, and Jake Gyllenhaal‘s rep, Carrie Byalick, are denying that the couple have split! “It is not true,” they told People. “They are still together.”
This is such sad news! A source close to Reese Witherspoon tells People that she and Jake Gyllenhaal are no more. We loved them as a couple — they were both such hard workers, and very family oriented. They met on the set of their 2007 film Rendition, and their new relationship was an even bigger success than the movie’s $28 million box office gross!
“We spend the weekends outside L.A, in Ojai, where I have a farmhouse, Reese told InStyle earlier this year. ”We have chickens and we grow cucumbers and tomatoes. I love it. It reminds me of where I grew up in Tennessee.” Seriously, is that not the most adorable thing you’ve ever heard?
And Jake was so great with Reese’s kids, 10-year-old Ava and 6-year-old Deacon. After Reese’s 2007 split from their dad, Ryan Phillippe, we wonder how much more those two can take!
By the way, Jake and Reese — that was pretty sneaky letting your news leak this weekend. We bet with everyone’s attention on the Tiger Woods scandal, you thought you could slide under our radar. Sorry, no such luck!
