Now that you’ve beat out France’s own first lady (and former model!), Carla Bruni Sarkozy, to secure the top spot on French Elle’s Best Dressed List in the “Political Chic” category, you’re only solidifying your position as International First Lady of Style.
“Mrs Obama resembles no one else. Her style is unique,” the Elle style jury, headed by Nathalie Rykiel, ruled. “She encourages young designers and has succeeded in imposing the waisted cardigan as official dress.”
