Exclusive: The Secret’s Out … Meryl Streep Hearts Gossip Girl!
Even one of Hollywood’s elite loves our favorite Upper East Siders’ antics.
Guess what? Meryl Streep is just like you: she can’t get enough Gossip Girl in her life! A spy tells HollywoodLife that the Oscar winner dropped by the Empire Hotel (a frequent filming location of the hit CW series that’s owned on-screen by debonair Chuck Bass) in NYC this past Tuesday for some personal business.
As she walked out the front door with a pal to hail a taxi, Meryl asked her friend, “I wonder if this is a regular taxi or a Gossip Girl taxi? I really like that show!”
Who knew Meryl was a fan?! We can see her daughter, Grace Gummer, possibly watching the catty teen series, but never thought a serious thespian would get into Blair Waldorf’s witchy shenanigans or Dan Humphrey’s totally complicated love life.
And, as it turns out, Meryl isn’t the only famous GG devotee.
Adam Lambert recently confessed to Leighton Meester that he’s “totally a geek for your show” and that he’d like to make a cameo.
We think the producers should make some room for Adam … and Meryl. Now that would be worth tuning in for!
