Alexa Ray Alleged Pain Killer Company Speaks Out: “We Have An Extraordinary High Safety Profile!”
News that Alexa Ray Joel attempted suicide broke over the weekend, and some reports mentioned that she took eight pills of the homeopathic pain remedy Traumeel. And now Traumeel is speaking out, ensuring customers that their product is safe.
“Our first thoughts go to Billy Joel, Christie Brinkley and their daughter Alexa Ray. We wish them all well,” a statement on the company’s Web site reads, and the company’s president and CEO adds, “I am especially sensitive to this news about Alexa Ray Joel because I have a daughter the same age.”
But the company stresses their drug is safe: “It is unclear what drugs were ingested by Alexa Ray Joel. Initially eight sleeping pills were mentioned by the police. Then a source close to the family mentioned Traumeel. Traumeel has been used safely for 60 years in 60 countries.
