Miley Cyrus, Are You Sure You’re Not Vying for a Role in Rock of Ages?
If her love of ’80s music is any indication, Miley Cyrus is totally ‘Hungry like the Wolf’ for a role in Rock of Ages.
Miley Cyrus is all about the ’80s lately. The tween star is remaking Brett Michaels‘s rock ballad “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” because it’s “one of her all-time favorite songs,” mom Tisch Cyrus told People. The Hannah Montana star is reportedly putting her own spin on the ballad, which is already recorded and nearly ready for release.
And although Adam Shankman — who’s directing the big screen adaptation of the hit Broadway musical Rock of Ages — says there are no plans for Miley to appear onscreen just yet, we still think she’s secretly gunning for a role.
Remember her surprise 17th birthday bash November? The ’80s-themed party in N.Y.C. featured a huge Poison (Brett’s band) cake, lots of neon and leggings, as well a performance by the show’s actual Broadway cast.
But that wasn’t all! Miley also caught a Rock of Ages show and met with stars backstage. And on top of that, People reports her first concert experience (other than watching dad Billy Ray perform, that is) was catching a Poison gig in Nashville.
Um, Miley, we’d totally love to see you Rock, but you might need to do some serious research for the role … you were born in 1992, after all.
