So BFFs – Here’s News: Tiger Woods Loves Studs!

Tiger’s got quite the fetish … for face piercings, that is!

Two of Tiger Woods’ alleged mistresses Jamie Jungers and Jamiee Grubbs have more than just Tiger and their first names in common. They also have jeweled face studs below their eyes, technically called dermal piercings. If you’re like me, you’re probably wondering how the heck those things got there. Well, brace yourself. First, a professional piercer makes a hole in the skin with a dermal punch and then inserts a dermal anchor (a flat metal piece that sits below the surface of the skin). Once the anchor is in place, you can screw in any type of jewel or stud into it. So, what do you think of their face bling?

DO your research before posting an article. You sound rather uneducated.

Dermal anchors do not require dermal punches to preform the procedure. I am a professional piercer and have done many many anchors over the past few years since they’ve come out, and I’ve used piercing needles for every single one.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to Psyx for saying much more eloquently what I was thinking. An inanimate object cant BE trashy people!

Hey all, thought I’d share some wisdom :)
I’m a professional piercer, and after seeing so much attention drawn to these women because of their modification I thought I should clarify a few things –

First, they are microdermal implants, micro because they are tiny (usually less than 3mm wide) dermal, because they only penetrate the skin, and implants because to have them successfully heal, the skin needs to heal over it, meaning the foot of the jewelery is implanted in the skin. And, if they are put in by a good piercer, and taken out by a good piercer, the scar is smaller than what you’ll see from the average nose piercing.

Second, the microdermal on the left is fresh, maybe two days old at most. If she wasn’t wearing that much makeup, there would be a little bruise too. I’d say that she got it done after the whole fiasco was exposed to distinguish herself from his other mistresses…but failed a little.

However, the microdermal on the right…looks like a stick-on jewel to me. A quick Google shows it occasionally disappearing and moving around on her cheek…also that lip piercing she appears to have isn’t shown in any other photo I can find.

Third, the general acceptance of piercings. Piercings and tattoos don’t make you trashy, what *you* do makes you trashy. Sadly, the kind of people who think it’s fun to get tramp stamps (because all their friends have it, not because they want the tattoo itself)are also the kind who seem to get drunk and flash for ‘Girls Gone Wild!’, giving them a bad reputation.

I have *two* of these microdermals on my face (on my temples), and I’m happily married, with a child. I’ve never cheated on anyone, and I will never, ever do so to my wonderful husband.

Saying that; ‘don’t judge a book by it’s cover’ seems to apply here very much.

The fact that it is all sore and crusty is enough for me to say ewwwwww – plus will probably leave a scar

I have gotten my nose pierced and a medusa piercing… both looked very raw at first and took a few days. And that is nothing compared to a dermal piercing. Of course it’ll be red, raw, and a little sore/crusty. It’s going to happen. But it should go back to normal once the healing time is up

Have seen tooth bling but have yet to see the face variety. Not looking forward to witnessing the disfiguring of perfectly beautiful faces!

i’ll never understand what would prompt a person to pierce their face, but these are also women who slept with a married man… so face studs are the new tramp stamps?
