Whitney Port Wishes Everyone a Happy Hanukkah!
Aw! The City star wants you to celebrate her favorite holiday by reaching out to the people you love the most.
‘Tis the season to be merry – but you can spread seasonal cheer without Santa Claus, jingle balls and Mariah Carey warbling “All I Want For Christmas (Is You).” Whitney Port shows us how to appreciate her favorite holiday: Hanukkah.
“Happy Hanukkah my fellow Jews!!” Whit posted on her blog Friday. “Hannukah is one of my favorite holidays, not because of the presents or the latkahs or the brisket or the dreidel spinning or the gelt but because it symbolizes how important family truly is.”
Added the starlet, “I remember when I was younger reporting back and forth with all of my friends what we got each night, I was living in a dream world. But now all I can really ask for is to simply be with my family. I know may sound like a corn-dog but take this time to reach out to those who mean the most to you. I think now more than ever hand-writing a card, framing a picture or simply verbalizing the worth of your loved ones are the best gifts one can get.”
We totally agree, Whitney. Nothing in life is better than hearing the words “I love you.” Don’t you agree?
