“So often when we got through breakups we say things like, I wish I had a remote mansion on an island somewhere, maybe in Sweden, that is accessible only by boat … oh wait, she has all that!” says Lynn Harris, co-creator of BreakupGirl.net.
If you have ever been through a bad breakup, you know how much you want to hide out from the rest of the world. Even though this is an extreme case of a breakup — not everyone is reportedly on the brink of divorce from philandering Tiger Woods — Lynn thinks some time away from your regular life is perfectly fine.
“Disappear briefly, and for a finite amount of time. It’s Wallow City and you’re the mayor! If you don’t have a mansion in Sweden, hole up with Swedish meatballs in a pillow fort on your IKEA couch and do it that way.”
