We know you’ve been waiting for this moment since Gossip Girl premiered in 2007. Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa Abrams (Jessica Szohr) are finally going to get it on – and this time, there’s no threesome involved. Oh no, it’s just sweet, sweet love for the longtime besties.

How is the deed done? “Shortly after the show returns in March, Dan + Vanessa + mojitos = Ay Caramba!” says EW’s Michael Ausiello.

It’s about time! Vanessa has been in love with best friend Dan since practically the beginning of time.

It went like this: girl loves boy, boy is too dumb to know it, boy falls in love with another girl who is totally out of his league (Blake Lively’s Serena van der Woodsen). Girl 2 and boy breakup. Girl 1 moves on. THEN….boy, girl and unimportant girl 3 have a threesome, whereupon boy finally realizes he is in love with girl.

Um, duh.
