What’s the next step in the Charlie scandal?

When celebrities get into the kind of trouble Charlie Sheen has found himself in, there’s usually some sort of fallout in their career — but criminal defense attorney Steven Cron says Charlie, 44, probably doesn’t need to worry about his position on his hit CBS comedy “Two and a Half Men,” for which he receives an estimated $19.8 million annually. “Sheen probably has a morals clause in his contract,” Cron tells HollywoodLife.com. ”This is something in theory they could use to cancel the show. However, because its so successful, they will probably look the other way.” But Cron also says Charlie will likely be facing probation for his actions.

“In most places, this case would get probation,” Cron tells us. “He will probably be put in a domestic violence program. And since it looks like he was drinking, they will probably send him to an alcohol program, too.”

As for what Charlie and his team should do next, Cron says 32-year-old Brooke Mueller‘s inconsistent reports to the police may be Charlie’s saving grace. ”It’s pretty clear that Brooke lied about some of this,” he tells us. “Charlie’s team could fight the allegtions. It’s certainly something you have to consider given the fact that she’s lied and keeps changing her story.”

Well put, Village.

Tiger Woods’ affairs were shocking because he had made himself look like such a golden boy.

But Charlie Sheen? We’ve lost ALL our standards for him.

Two and a Half Men is the funniest show on television. The straight man role is shared, the punch lines are shared, and it may be the only show on TV where all the supporting roles are female, and the lead actor doesn’t have the biggest wardrobe budget.

Charlie Sheen is honest in that he plays himself, a boozing, womanizing, gambling middle aged excuse for a human being who is loved by his family. It is an endearing show, and fall out of your chair funny.

Don’t confuse the man with the talent. Hollywood doesn’t, and never has. There is money to be made.
