Is this mom of four a … desperate housewife?

There’s going to be one less housewife on the posh OC block. The Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Barney will soon be a single lady now that her husband of almost 12 years, Simon, filed for divorce Jan. 7 in Orange, Calif., Radar Online reports.

We can’t say we didn’t see this coming, especially when the teary-eyed blonde, 42, confided to her mom in an preview for tonight’s episode that not only were she and Simon going through a rough patch, but they were headed down to that dreaded “D” word: Divorce.

But what we didn’t expect was why — and now we’re finding out Simon was the one who pulled the plug on the relationship. In the divorce papers he claimed she “has been verbally abusive” and has been cheating on him!

Tamra hasn’t commented on the allegations yet but this isn’t good news for the couple’s three children, Sidney, 10, Spencer, 9, and Sophia, 4. (She also has a 23-year-old son, Ryan, from a previous relationship). A source says she even moved out of their million dollar home earlier this week and retreated to a two-bedroom apartment.

On the bright side, now Tamra’s arch nemesis and fellow RHOC star Gretchen Rossi, 32, won’t be the only housewife without a hubby. Maybe these two will bond and, dare we say, become friends?!
