Hey Derek Jeter, It Looks Like November 5 Is The Big Date For Your Wedding To Minka Kelly!
Don’t you think it’s about time these two settled down?
We’ve been hearing wedding bells in the distance for Derek Jeter, 36, and Minka Kelly, 29, for a while now — and it looks like the lovebirds may have finally set a date! A source close to the couple tells Newsday that Derek and Minka will say “I do” on Nov. 5 at Long Island’s Oheka Castle, the same venue that hosted Kevin Jonas‘ recent Disney wedding. Hm… a Nov. 5 wedding would be perfect timing for a Yankee wedding, considering the last game of this year’s World Series was played on Nov. 4. Sounds like Derek wants to make sure baseball season will be over before he heads down the aisle with Minka. Smart!
And the couple would have a pretty solid nest egg to start their marriage with, as Derek has one year left in his 10-year $189 million contract. Derek and Minka started dating in 2008, and wedding rumors first began swirling in August 2009 when a source told Page Six that the Derek was “secretly engaged” to the “Friday Night Lights” starlet.
So, what’s next for Derek and Minka? We hope they really do go through with the Nov. 5 wedding — all this guessing is exhausting!
