Exclusive! Former Bachelor Lorenzo Borghese Tells Bachelor Jake, “Love Is More Real Than Reality TV”
Rozlyn, it’s OK that you found love on The Bachelor, even though it wasn’t with Jake.
“I am not really surprised that this happened,” says Lorenzo Borghese, Bachelor Rome Season 9, about contestant Rozlyn Papa‘s affair ( tho she keeps denying it)with one of the producers during the taping of Season 12, The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love. You “take these ‘contestants’ and put them in a somewhat fictitious setting and feed them love grapes and they will look in the closet for love,” Lorenzo explains to us. “It just shows that love is more real than reality TV,” he says.
There’s no guarentee that Jake Pavelka, this season’s bachelor, would have chosen Rozlyn as his love interest anyway, so “if not with the bachelor, than why not with one of the producers,” Lorenzo explains. This is a show about love, so why shouldn’t the contestants be able to find love with someone, even if it’s not with the bachelor himself?
Apparently, it’s not out of the norm for the producers or other people who work on The Bachelor/Bachelorette to flirt with the contestants. But, when a situation like this does take place, where does it leave the bachelor himself? Well, Jake still has 14 girls left, including the one we predicted that he would fall in love with, Ali Fedotowsky. So, Rozlyn falling in love with someone else from the show really isn’t that big of a deal.
“I think that love is reality even if in a controlled environment. You can’t fall in love with someone and have it not be a reality because that would go against the definition of love,” Lorenzo says. Do you hear that Jake AND Rozlyn? Though this doesn’t fully justify the circumstances of how it happened, at least you both had the chance to find love. And, even if it didn’t work out between the two of you, we think that you both deserve the opportunity to be happy!
