GOLDEN GLOBES! The Winners — ‘Avatar,’ Sandra Bullock, ‘Glee,’ & Robert Downey Get the Big Prizes!

59320462James Cameron’s sci-fi epic, the Blind Side star, The Hangover, and perennial also-ran Jeff Bridges got the big prizes at last night’s Golden Globes!

Avatar captured the biggest Globe of all — best picture, drama — which was no great surprise, but The Hangover got the prize for best picture, comedy or musical, which was unusual, given Hollywood’s reluctance to give out big awards to broad comedies.

Sandra Bullock and Jeff Bridges won for best actress and actor, drama, conferring recognition on two actors who haven’t gotten much praise for their dramatic acting over the years.

Rookie TV musical Glee won a Globe for best TV comedy or musical, and stalwart Mad Men nabbed best TV drama, repeating its Emmy win.
