The dark and brooding ambiance of the Weinstein Company’s Golden Globes fete certainly didn’t match the buoyant mood of revelers!
Stars like Nicole Kidman, Fergie, Josh Duhamel and Matt Damon were all seen floating through the low-lit Bar 210 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel Jan. 17, which was draped in dark colors and metallics. Though the room was littered with familiar faces, most celebrity partygoers stuck clique-like to their own film groups.
While the Inglorious Basterds boys held court at a table anchored by director Quentin Tarantino, the muses of the Nine cast – such as Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson and Marion Cotilliard – had a blast giggling and talking for ages near the warmth of a fire pit.
More than one handsome face was seen at the table for A Single Man. Tom Ford chatted animatedly to his star, Colin Firth, while his date for the evening, Julianne Moore, sat to his right.
When we weren’t spying an older woman spoon-feeding Taylor Lautner, we were watching Joshua Jackson patiently wait for this turn to talk to his belle-of-the-ball girlfriend Diane Kruger. Inglorious Basterds and “The Office” star BJ Novak brought his co-star Mindy Kaling, who spent their time propping up the bar.
