MTV Tells Jersey Shore Cast: Take Our New Money Offer Today Or You’re Out!

If the cast of The Hills on MTV can pull up to $75,000 per episode, why would the much more lovable characters of Jersey Shore settle for a measly $5,000 per show? As it turns out … they won’t!
TMZ reports that MTV offered Snooki, J-Woww, Pauly D, and Mike “The Situation” a measly “$10,000 signing bonus and $5,000 per episode” to come back for a second season … which they rejected! TMZ says “the cast made it clear they would all stand together and hold out for their price, though they didn’t say what it was.” The celeb news site also reports that MTV is playing hardball, and that if they don’t accept the network’s offer by the end of the day today, they can take their Coppertone and GTL and go back to Seaside Heights — i.e., see ya later.
Jersey Shore has reached up to 4.9 million viewers in the first season, so MTV doubled the offer to $10,000 an episode — but there’s no word yet on the cast’s response to the offer. We hope Snooki’s new boyfriend Emilio has some dough of his own!
Don’t you think these Jersey kids deserve to get paid as much as the crew from the Hollywood Hills?

When will be we (this piss poor ethically challenged country) get over unpolished, small brained wanna be reality types.
Heck, we have enough small brained, unpolished political types. Has anyone asked John Boehner to take that S**t out of his mouth before speaking.
I’m sure the same could be said about some of the Jersey cast.

it’s not just these kids – what about conan and the rest of the entertainers and the companies? money today doesn’t have real value because it’s inflated without a ceiling. anyone that commands money to the tune of millions is greedy and full of themselves with no room for anyone else. PERIOD.

Uneducated unproductive young people who make no real
conribution to society is why this country is in the
shape it’s in today.
They do not deserve more money.
There are people who have Master Degrees who are not paid that type of salary, including teacher’s.
Let those uneducated non-talented do nothings try getting
a job away from television that will pay that kind of money.
