EXCLUSIVE: Brooke Mueller & Charlie Sheen’s Christmas Fight Triggered by Brooke’s Substance Abuse Relapse
HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller‘s huge Christmas Eve blow-out had everything to do with Brooke allegedly returning to some of her past substance abuse habits. Despite reports that the fight ignited over a song written for Charlie’s daughter or the fact that the couple had been drinking, a source close to the couple tells us the fight was about Brooke — and a substance abuse problem that had recently re-emerged, according to our source.
On Jan. 27, Brooke reportedly checked into the Two Dreams Outer Banks rehab center in North Carolina, after a stint in the hospital due to pneumonia. According to RadarOnline.com, Brooke “is in rehab for both drugs AND alcohol. Her lifestyle was so out of control that friends tried to bring her drugs while she was hospitalized during the past several days.”
There were also reports that Brooke was sent to rehab for substance abuse, which her lawyer denies. But one source who knows the couple tells us, “The fight they had on Christmas was definitely about her using substances again. She has been in rehab on and off for years. When she went to the hospital, it was because she was using substances again.”
We contacted Brooke’s lawyer, Yale Galanter, and have not heard back.
