O Yes! Michelle Obama’s First State of the Union Address! Bye-Bye Bare Arms, Hello Isaac Mizrahi!

The First Lady did Barbara Bush mixed with Jackie Kennedy to watch her husband’s knockout speech last night, Jan 27!

We get it, Michelle — you didn’t want to distract the world, Nov. 27, with your arrestingly sculpted arms. Too bad for us, but you still were a headturner in your three-quarter sleeve Isaac Mizrahi dress, new classic pearls.

It’s not the first time that the First Lady has turned to Isaac in a time of need. She glammed up in his orange brocade shift on Nov. 24, to meet the wife of India’s Prime Minister, looked completely smashing in his purple coat in May , and has even dipped into his lower-priced Liz Claiborne collection for his ruffled blouses and sweaters. It’s a mutual love affair as well. Isaac has called her “the Carrie Bradshaw of the next 10 years.”

And let’s not forget that Lady O’s style isn’t without substance: during the address President Obama touched on two initiatives that she’ll be heading up this year: the fight against childhood obesity and a new program to support military families.

Looking good and doing good—there’s nothing better!
