Are you excited to go back in time with the bloodsuckers?

Break out those poodle skirts! The Vampire Diaries is going back to the ’50s in tonight’s episode, complete with a sock hop at Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) high school. We just wonder which of her escorts — Stefan (Paul Wesley or Damon (Ian Somerhalder) — will get to dance with her. They might be too busy trying to track down the new vampire in town. Tonight’s episode also marks the first appearance of Sean Faris, who we introduced you to last month, as former high school football star Ben. Oh! And how could we overlook the other major player making his Vampire Diaries debut tonight: Matt Davis! You may remember him as Elle Woods’ ridiculous boyfriend Warner Huntington III in Legally Blonde. A new vampire, a sock hop and Elle’s ex — do you really need another reason to watch?
