Do You Really Want to Watch Victoria Beckham Co-Host the View?
Not being funny, but Vix has all the warmth and charm of an icicle. If she has an opinion that isn’t 100% bland, I’ve yet to see it!
When Victoria Beckham, 35, announced that she was guest-hosting ABC’s Chatty Cathy talk show The View on Feb. 17, I had to do a double take. Seriously? WHY?
It will be her second time playing host with Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepard and Whoopi Goldberg (I can’t imagine why, the first time was so unmemorable that I actually forgot she did it), in addition to a recent guest judge stint on American Idol.
What IS it about this woman that makes producers think we actually want to watch her? She’s thinner than most of the starlets in Hollywood – no mean feat – and appears absolutely devoid of personality.
Sure, she once displayed some zig-a-zig-ah as the ‘Posh’ member of campy Brit girl group The Spice Girls, and she’s married to one of the most gorgeous men on the planet, soccer stud David Beckham. Those things aside, I’m not sure why she’s so relevant.
Do the women of The View anticipate that her hot hubby is going to tag along and rip off his shirt onscreen? Do they think any woman in America is going to want to receive fashion advice from a stick insect who’s leg is probably skinnier than most of our arms?
