So long Simon! Hello Katy as the new tough top host of American Idol!

Songstress Katy Perry, 25, loved guest judging on American Idol so much on Jan. 27 that she’d kiss off her singing career and sit and be Simon, she says. “The American Idol experience was awesome,” she told MTV. “If I was offered that job as a permanent host, I would ditch my career and take on that career.” Do it Katy! She  was fabulously acerbic ripping into contestants and other judges.  ”This isn’t a Lifetime movie”, she snapped at fellow judge, Kara DioGuardi, after Kara went all soft on a singer who grew up in foster care. “You  have to have talent,” she retorted to Kara, reminding her that it was a singing contest!
