How would you handle an unexpected run-in with someone you just stopped dating?
Awkward much? Leave it to Rihanna to still act like the queen of cool, even when faced with a potentially dramatic run in of the ex-boyfriend (hook-up, lover, etc) variety. Both Rihanna, 21, and LA Dodgers player Matt Kemp, 25, attended Drake’s Grammy afterparty at West Hollywood club Guys & Dolls Jan. 31 – and spent the evening studiously ignoring one another.
But the gutsy songbird had enough of the childish high school behavior and crossed the room to briefly – and cordially – speak to her recent ex. “Rihanna actually approached Matt,” an eyewitness tells HollywoodLife.com. “They spoke for about ten minutes before she went back to her table, but he didn’t follow.”
Maybe Matt didn’t follow because he was intimidated by Rihanna’s crew: Lil’ Wayne, Beyonce, Drake and ESPECIALLY her protective big-brother figure, Jay-Z. Or maybe Matt’s just a player through and through – which might be the case, given that the baseball star hit on another woman moments after speaking to Rihanna!
“Matt was rubbing on the backside of another female later on after his brief interaction with Rihanna,” reports our source, who adds, “Soon after he made a beeline through the back exit to his car while Rihanna stayed and hung out with Jay-Z and Beyonce.”
Way to go, Rihanna! Not just for being confident enough to face down your ex, but because you’re definitely batting a thousand by knowing when to get rid of the losers in your life! (Cough, Chris Brown, cough)

WHEN A PERSON MAKES ALL THESE EXCUSES ABOUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM, THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP. IF HE IS NOT MAN ENOUGH TO SAY WHAT YOU ARE TO THEM HE IS NOT A MAN REMINDS ME OF BOYS THAT DO NOT CLAIM TO KNOW YOU ONCE THEY GOT THE GOODS THIS UY IS NOT A MAN BUT A LITTLE BOY. SHE HAS BEEN ABUSED ONCE. DON NOT BE SO DESPERATE TO HAVE A MAN YOU ACCEPT TREATMENT LIKE THIS FROM HIM. MOVE ON HONEY. FIND A REAL MAN. HE HAS ALREADY SHOWN YOU HIS TRUE COLORS.
