I’m shocked, appalled, and … sad! The Lost star is moving on to greener pastures when he finally gets off that island.

What does Matthew Fox have planned after the series finale of his hit show Lost this May? To get lost, for real. “I won’t be doing any more television,” Matthew, 43, told UsMagazine.com at the show’s season premiere event in Hawaii Jan .31

Considering we’ve had the pleasure of his handsome face since his turn as the eldest brother on the 90′s drama Party Of Five, we are sure sad to see you go, Matthew! So does that mean he’s giving up Hollywood completely? Well, sort of. When he leaves the show’s Hawaii set, the father of two, — daughter, Kyle Allison, 11, and son Byron, 8, with wife Margherita — is bypassing LA for a cooler climate, “My family will move to Oregon, back to the country I love.”

Ok Lost fans, don’t stress too much, sounds like he’s taking a load off and simply wants to be choosy! “I’m either going to make movies with filmmakers I want to work with or I’ll be doing something else entirely.”

That ‘something else’ wouldn’t perhaps include a regular time slot on a major network, would it? Oh okay we get it! It’s just all too much, reconsider, Matthew, reconsider…
