EXCLUSIVE! Several Sources Confirm Alex McCord and Simon Van Kempen Have No Plans to Leave ‘The Real Housewives of New York’

Would you be sad to see original housewife Alex and her flamboyant hubby leave the show?
Why is everyone in such a rush to see Alex McCord , 36, get the boot from her show, The Real Housewives of New York? Sure, she isn’t well-liked, but that’s no reason to fire her!
“There’s a ton of reasons why [Alex and husband Simon van Kempen] aren’t being asked back,” the NY Daily News claims. “Viewers don’t have a positive reaction to them, so they’re easily replaceable at this point.”
But several insiders can confirm exclusively to HollywoodLife.com that this report is totally bogus.
“It’s just bad gossip,” sniffs one source. “None of the Housewives have signed on for the 4th season yet. Why would Alex leave? It’s simply not true.”
Adds a second insider, “This is all rehashed news. It’s nothing new. Alex has no friends, so any no brain would put two and two together and think she’s getting fired.”
So nothing is firmed up yet for any of the ladies, who include Alex, Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon and ‘Countess’ Luann de Lesseps; cast member Bethenny Frankel is leaving to spearhead her own new reality show Bethanny’s Getting Married. Bravo might want to get a move on though – they have just one month until Season 4 premieres March 4!

i don’t actually mind alex, but am very shocked to hear that she is only 36. she looks and acts like she is 46. as for her husband, that is why i want alex off the show. he is a hideous poser, and makes her look like a poser for being with him. they add nothing to the show really. i mean, i LOATHE kelly, and want her off, but i have to admit that at least she adds an interesting element (i.e., ‘who acts like that?!?!’) and is connected to enough “stars” to have some entertainment value. these two though- they’re not interesting and try too hard to be just that.
