Brooke Mueller ‘Treading on Dangerous Ground’ By Leaving Rehab Facility Early, Family Lawyer Tells HollywoodLife

Brooke Mueller proved that she wanted to get help for her alleged substance abuse relapse by checking in to North Carolina drug and alcohol rehab center Two Dreams Outer Banks in late January following a domestic violence altercation at Christmastime with husband Charlie Sheen, 44. But will failing to complete her rehabilitation treatment program jeopardize her chances of keeping 9-month-old twins Max and Bob?
Los Angeles-based attorney Michael G. Dave says that Brooke, 32, is on shaky territory at the moment. “It’s a thin line. If there is a social services issue with Brooke, Child Services are going to step in and she could be deemed unfit.”
Adds the lawyer, “She’s treading on very dangerous ground. If for any reason she relapses, she’ll really be in hot water in terms of having to deal with the social services. If she doesn’t shape up, there is a possibility the boys will be taken and placed with relatives, or, if there are no relatives, foster care.”
Brooke is not the only one pushing the envelope: Charlie is reportedly being charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault — which might play a role in future custody battles. “They are in greater jeopardy now that he’s been charged because they potentially can’t look to Charlie if there are problems with Brooke,” Dave explains.
Although Brooke’s dad, Jon Fiore, told Radar Online Feb. 2, “She is feeling so much better, so much stronger. She is just there to heal herself from all the stress….Her body was in turmoil…so she went there to get away from everything,” perhaps Brooke left the treatment center too soon.
