It’s the next logical step in your illustrious TV career!
Jon Gosselin, you may have gained notoriety as the star of TLC’s reality hit Jon & Kate Plus 8, but in the years since the show’s Nov. 2009 cancellation, you’ve become something of a walking trainwreck. You clearly love your fame, but since no one is knocking down your door for your next big break, may I make a suggestion? Ditch your pride and sign up for Vh1’s Celebrity Fit Club!
Last month, HollywoodLife.com spoke with LA-based producer, writer and director Ric Reitz who told us you have a slim-to-none chance of making it big in Hollywood. “Right now [he's] the punch line to a joke,” Ric said. “I’d stay hands-off the guy.”
No one is willing to give you a chance right now, Jon, but Vh1 reality shows have a history of relaunching the careers of once-popular celebs! Just look at Carnie Wilson! After her appearance on the fourth season of Celebrity Fit Club, the former musician found work as a correspondent on Entertainment Tonight, the host of Game Show Network’s Newlywed Game remake and she has her own reality show, Carnie Wilson: Unstapled!
While you may not approve of this comparison, your current situation reminds me of Kevin Federline’s. His decision to join the Vh1 show has been getting him attention for months — and his season doesn’t even premiere until tonight!
Think about it, Jon. It would give you a chance to show yourself in a more positive light — and please note: they do make Ed Hardy shirts in Medium and Large sizes. Your wardrobe won’t have to change!
