‘Rude Boy’ does not only refer to Criminals or Juvenile Delinquents.
I’m from the Caribbean & it is normally said to guys who think they are tough or who are trying to portray the bad boy image.
It’s really just an image most of the time, some of these guys are actually soft at heart.
