Not only should she not “stand behind her man”,she should get that divorce going as quick as possible,take him for everything she can possibly get and then press charges against him for endangering her health.He knowingly(insisted in fact)had unprotected sex with a porn star and brought any one of the numerous diseases she could be carrying home to Elin…here ya go,”honey I’m home and i brought you a little something that you can cherish for the rest of your life” If she stands by him ,yes she will look like a doormat but it will also make it look like it’s all ok and all is forgiven and then he can go back to being the tramp that he is and get “high fives” from his buddies on a “close call”.

I actually think Elin is showing an incredible dignity and strength to stand behind her man in such a shameful and painful moment. She proves that forgiveness is still a value and that we can forgive without losing our dignity and pride. It actually makes us more dignified and proud. But nowadays it’s a problem to be forgiving, and it is a problem to say “I accept your apologies. Although you hurt me, I still love you”.

You are right Amoke but if the car crash didn’t happen,and if he would have said a long time ago,”yeah I am having some problems ,mind your own business” or if he didnt hide away from the world and give everyone something to wonder about or maybe just spit it out like David Letterman did…maybe ,just maybe people would have lost interest.People forgot about D.L.’s indecressions long ago.Not that I think anyone should have to apologize to the public for things that they have done in their personal life ,it is expected of celebs for some reason,he should have just done it three months ago and got it over with instead of the “coached, rehersed and written by somebody else ” speech he gave yesterday…..sincere or not ,that made him look just plain guilty.
