The Mrs. and the President hosted the Governors Ball at the White House last night, Feb. 21, and I bet there were a lot of double-takes when Michelle made her appearance. It’s #1, her first time in months that she’s gone sleeveless again AND it’s the first time ever that she’s done the dark smokey eye and pale lip look. Plus she’s never worn her new bob slung so low over her eyes before. Barack Obama and I give it a thumbs up!! What about YOU?

Kudos, AlaskanMadien!! I think his remarks stem from a lack of education–be it language or the proper use of grammar. Though we (the US) have the right to free speech I think some people would be better off keeping their (hateful) snide remarks to themselves.
Michelle is the NEW First Lady image of which this country has needed for a long time. I happened to hear her in a radio interview this morning talking about her concerns for the youth of today and the obesity many of them are struggling with. She spoke in depth about the program which she is implementing–speaking with ease, grace and above all, genuine concern.
Too sexy? Since when does one, that looks (and is) very athletic, carries themselves with ease, dresses sensibly yet stylish, look “too sexy?”
As for the further comment re: J.K. Onassis. Jackie was out for Jackie and no one else. She ‘catered’ to the wealth of the upper crust and could have cared less about the average citizen in this country. After reading her personal secretary’s account of their life beyond public view it was clear even more so as to her shallow character. And after the Obama’s came to be our First Family–right away all the medias started (trying) to compare Michelle to “Jackie”–but that didn’t last. And I think in a great part because Michelle made it clear with her quiet and pleasant manner that she is her own person. She doesn’t NEED to be compared to the likes of Jackie O. or anyone for that matter.
As for the rest of the derogatory remarks made here–I agree with Efficacious–if you can’t say something nice about someone–keep your damn mouth shut.
BTW–I’m white. And he is MY president too.

That’s a weave. and she has tons of make up on because her skin tone is very smooth here and it just isn’t on many other occassions. Sexy? I guess some might say she’s sexy. I’m not one of them.

Laurie, you crazy woman! Weaves are so 90′s. If she has extensions it’s for body not length. Karetin extensions are very haute, just ask Paris or Lindsey. It’s a billion dollar industry. Her makeup looks like it was applied with an airbrush. A TON of makeup would be impossible to manage on anyone’s face. You are too silly. What I really hear you saying is that you’re jealous of Michelle’s beauty and her success. I can’t blame you for feeling that way. Black women are ageless and beautiful. Combine that with a law degree, two beautiful daughters and a husbands whose successful and handsome…well it’s hard not to envy.

Please do not compare Michelle Obama and Jackie Kennedy! Jackie knew how to dress and present herself in a very dignified way which complimented her position as First Lady. She was never over or under dressed and she was always very elegant looking and acting even in casual dress.

She just does not portray the poise and character of her position. She is a dignitary figure not a diva! Someone needs to hire some coaches to advise her how to present herself to the American public and the world at large. She definitely needs training on how to walk and how to carry herself. The bare shoulder look is fine for tennis but should be displayed sparingly as past first ladies have done. Nancy Reagan was very elegant of dress and personae and so was Barbara Bush. They looked and acted in accordance with their husband’s position he was hired by the Amerioan people to fulfill and the First Lady should follow suit.
