AHHH! Who knew that both of Brangelina’s little girls needed their thumbs and their blankies?
Shiloh and Zahara Jolie-Pitt were out shopping in Paris with Daddy Brad Pitt, reportedly at the posh Bonpoint store, while mommy Angelina Jolie was hard at work on her new film, The Tourist. As per usual, Shiloh was decked out in her boy cap while Zahara, wearing alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet, went girly with her striped tights and pom pom hat. So do YOU think Brad & Ange should let their girls thumbsuck or should they try and stop them?

LOL. They are not babies anymore. In my opinion kids are babies until they are like 2 or 2,5. Thumbsucking is the WORST thing you can do to your own teeth and it also influences your articulation a lot. because of the constant sucking the tongue pushes against the upper and lower teeth and what you get out of it is an open bite and most likely a sigmatism. I am a speech therapist from Germany, and sucking your thumb at almost 4 and 5 years old is NOT GOOD!

My youngest son was a thumbsucker, and I honestly don’t see a problem with it…Most children do it when they’re upset, tired or not feeling well…Maybe they see strangers with cameras and get scared. Who could blame them??

Well it would be OK if they were babies. But Z is going to be in Grade 1 soon. Most Grade 1 children do not suck their thumbs or carry little blankets. In the real world these kids would be teased terribly.

How about just pulling the kids finger away sternly and saying no in a comanding fashion, I mean take charge, every parenting relationship is like that in nature.

Thumb sucking is comforting. What is ridiculous is pacifiers. If you notice. the Jolie-Pitt children don’t use them. Pacifiers are a way to quiet children. That’s unnatural.
