Not only did John apologize for his filthy comments about exes Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson, he also invited a young boy to play with him onstage in Philadelphia. But is John really changing his ways, or is all just an act?
After giving a potentially career-destroying interview to Playboy magazine where he made racial slurs and sullied the reputations of ex-girlfriends Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston, John Mayer has gone all Mr. Nice Guy. He apologized to both women for kissing and telling, publicly regretted his use of the N-word AND invited a young fan to play with him on-stage during one of his gigs earlier this week.
Eleven-year-old Austin Christy held up a homemade poster reading, “Can I please play ‘Belief’ with you?” at the rocker’s Philadelphia concert Feb. 21, and was granted his wish. John, 32, invited his young fan to join him on-stage for a duet, praising him with, “That’s my man!”
Austin’s mom was, naturally, pleased as punch, and wrote a note to John’s management team, which read: “John made an 11-year-old’s dream come true. John gave him the guitar after the show and we needed security to get out of the stadium. Everyone wanted a picture with him. If you get a chance watch some of the videos on You Tube, it is touching. As John said, ‘The kid pulled through.’ I just wanted to thank JM for pulling through for Austin.”
What do you think of this Mr. Nice Guy routine?

He’s always been a nice, good guy…he just does some stupid things and makes some mistakes every now and then (like every human being does). Of course the media only pays attention to the bad and skips over all the good he’s done in his life. I wish people could understand this. I actually believe that all the terrible articles and things being said about him are worse than anything he’s ever said. People are such hypocrites.
