UPDATE: Andrew Koenig’s father, Star Trek actor Walter Koenig, made a brief statement Feb. 25 about his late son, TMZ is reporting. He confirmed that Andrew committed suicide, and he urged anyone suffering from depression to seek help now before it’s too late. “What you can learn from this … is that there are people out there who really, really care,” Walter said. “Before you make that final decision … talk to somebody.” Andrew had been missing since Feb. 14, and earlier this week Walter said his son was suffering from depression.
