Precious cleaned up at the 41st Annual NAACP Image Awards on Feb. 26 in Hollywood. Not only did the movie pick up awards for Best Motion Picture and Best Independent Motion Picture, but stars Gabourey Sidibe and Mo’Nique received awards for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively. Other big winners included Tyler Perry, Keri Hilson and Jada Pinkett Smith. Rumors have been swirling about Howard Stern being a potential replacement for Simon Cowell when the engaged judge leaves American Idol this season. But if Howard does fill Simon’s seat, there’s one person you can expect not to find at the judge’s table: Ellen DeGeneres! “Ellen has said she won’t work with me, but quite frankly, after watching her on the stupid show, I gotta tell ya, I won’t work with Ellen,” Howard told The Insider on Feb. 25 at the New York premiere of Matt Damon‘s new movie Green Zone. “She’s out if I come in.” Click here to read more & vote!

We Told You First! Taylor Lautner Won’t Play Max Steel!

It came down to a battle between major toy companies Hasbro & Mattel!

Surprise, surprise! Four days after HollywoodLife.com told you that Taylor Lautner would be dropping one of his scheduled movies to clear his busy schedule, NYMag.com is reporting that Taylor has decided to pull out of Max Steel! It was first reported Dec. 4 that Taylor would be portraying Mattel action figure Max Steel on the big screen, but when Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner saw Taylor do backflips on his Dec. 12 episode of Saturday Night Live, he knew he had to get Taylor to play Hasbro toy Stretch Armstrong! After months of messy back-and-forths, Taylor ultimately decided to turn down the role of Max Steel in favor of Stretch Armstrong. Read more & vote!

Serena has been taking a brief break from her impressive tennis career recently to open up schools in Africa, and today she taught the first class of her second secondary school that just opened it’s doors! “I don’t know who was more nervous, the kids staring at some strange woman that came from far away or me, never having teaching experience teaching these adolescents life lessons,” Serena confessed in her blog on GlobalGrind.
