Pamela Anderson Joined Dancing With The Stars For One Reason: To Stay Out Harm’s Way!
Do you think dancing is a smart way for Pammy to keep herself out of trouble?
Pamela Anderson is prepping to waltz, samba and cha-cha her way to a potential victory on Season 10 of Dancing With The Stars, but she’s hoping that appearing on the program will do more for her than whittle her waistline: the former Baywatch beauty thinks the show will keep her from creating mischief!
“I’m having the best time, this will keep me out of trouble,” she told People.com on March 3, adding, “It’s stimulation, mentally, physically and emotionally. It has my focus and I’ve always wanted to learn how to dance. Maybe I’ll get in shape as well. This is a leap of faith. I’ll learn a life skill. I’m a romantic; I’m putting my heart into this.”
Good thinking, Pam! Dancing your heart out is definitely a good distraction from the kind of problems you’re facing! Pam, 42, recently broke it off with her boyfriend of a year, Jamie Padgett and has been facing several lawsuits in regards to construction on her Malibu home, which has put a strain on her finances.
While she’ll compete with partner Damian Whitewood against the likes of Kate Gosselin, Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger and Olympic Gold medalist Evan Lysacek on- stage, she’s already facing criticism from another Olympian, DWTS 2007 champ, Apollo Ohno who’s rooting for his ice dancing buddy. “Pam Anderson, she’s a little top-heavy. I think Evan is going to do very well. Plus, he’s an Olympic medalist!” Apollo told Jay Leno on March 3.
