Good Job, America! We Booted The Right Contestants Off ‘American Idol’ Last Night!
Although it sucks to see people’s dreams get crushed, don’t you agree with the rest of the country that we sent the right four people home?
There’s usually a ton of controversy about which contestants went home undeservedly, but this week I agree with the rest of America: the right four contestants were given the boot last night on American Idol. Let’s be honest: Haeley Vaughn, Michelle Delamor, John Park and Jermaine Sellers were definitely the weakest links and we had to say goodbye.
21-year-old John Park was the first guy to get cut, which wasn’t all that surprising, given that I had already forgotten he existed (his rendition of John Mayer’s gravity had my head defying gravity. Snooze-fest!). Up next to the chopping block was Jermaine “I don’t need votes, I have Jesus” Sellers, 26. If Jermaine’s Idol fate was any indication, God doesn’t subscribe to ATT.
It was more of a holly-bummer watching the girls say goodbye. Michelle Delamor, 22, didn’t get through to the next round and Kara said it was because the Miami, Fla. native was better in person than on the TV. All the contestants cried so much when 16-year-old Haeley Vaughn got the boot, I almost shed a tear too. Almost. I liked her, but her final performance of Miley Cyrus‘ ‘The Climb’ was more painful to my eardrums than it was to my heart.
All in all, the results show was cleansing, but not fun. As HollywoodLife.com editor Will Lee succinctly put it this morning, “Fox couldn’t get to Kitchen Nightmares fast enough.”
So true.

I think America got it almost right, I would have liked Michelle to stick around a little longer. And I am a huge Ellen fan but I feel like she is being coached about what to say and I just want her to be Ellen…. Not loving this season like I have in the past. I am looking forward to the make overs!! Some of my favorites REALLY need it.
