EXCLUSIVE! Nancy O’Dell Doesn’t Hate Billy Bush – And Won’t Be Hosting DWTS!

Have you ever had water cool gossip spread about you and a co-worker that wasn’t true?
When Nancy O’Dell left her 13-year hosting gig at Access Hollywood out of the blue in Dec. 2009, rumors swirled the reason behind her departure was an on-going beef with her co-host, Billy Bush. But when HollywoodLife.com chatted with the host, she set the record straight for us.
“There was absolutely ZERO truth in [those reports about me and Billy]. Zero,” Nancy, 44, vented to us at MAC’s Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party in Bel Air March 4.
“I told him, ‘Billy, I want you to know. I have no idea where this came from, it didn’t come from me,’” she explained, adding, “Obviously somebody has a beef with him, but it wasn’t me.”
Nancy allegedly broke her contract with the entertainment news show two years early because it was becoming too sensational, and because it was also time to pursue new ventures, like her jewelry and furniture lines, as well as a brand new top-secret show.
“At this point in my life, I just wanted to have a little more control over what I was saying, what I was doing and how I was doing it,” Nancy said. “I just wanted to graduate, you know?”
As for her top-secret new entertainment show, Nancy could tell us three things: she’s hosting; it’s NOT Dancing with the Stars; and she plans on “having a little more ownership in it.”

I’d like to see Nancy host a show that is NOT like the ones we have now – Access Hollywood, Insider, Entertainment Tonight, Extra etc. I hate the format of all of them now. Really cheezy and stupid and sooooo busy (meaning lots of flashing pics, etc.) and.. so many polls!!! The shows have become ridiculous!! I’d like to see Nancy to a straight up informative entertainment show.
