Nina said she would never date a co-star. Do you think she should change her mind for Ian?
Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder came together March 6 to discuss their show at PaleyFest in Beverly Hills — but we were more focused on the undeniable chemistry between Nina and Ian! When the two weren’t acting touchy and playful with each other, Ian was showering her with compliments. When Nina said she had mixed feelings about having to wear corsets during flashback episodes, Ian interjected, saying, “You love it! Hey, you look amazing.”
Jokingly, Ian stated he has to wear more makeup than Paul because Paul is “pretty.” Paul responded with, “Who’s the pretty one here, buddy?” and Ian started pointing at Nina for a while.
And as if that weren’t enough, when creator Kevin Williamson said Damon (Ian’s character) will soon realize he has true feelings for Elena (Nina’s character), Ian replied with sly grin and one word: “Shocking.”
Nina told the March 2010 issue of Seventeen that she would never even consider dating Paul or Ian, adding that “it could definitely get sticky if you dated your co-star.” Let’s see if she can manage to hold out on her promise.

heyy to me ian somerhalder is my hero i have never been inspired by anyone and if he does date nina dobrev then i will be happy for what ever he decides to choose so good luck with acting and follow your heart that’s what i would say to him and if he ever wrote back to me i would never want anything else in mylife.

it will happen to many people like us love them both together on and off screen.in the future ian will break up with his girlfriend and nina will change her mind about not dating her co-star.and in the show kathrine might end up getting staked or ending up with jeremy

almost all their pictures showing them too close for comfort that when i saw one in which they are separated even a foot, im kinda surprise becoz they truly look good together as if they are always drawn towards each other.

Ugh GOD!!! i am so team Damon and Elena it hurts they are freakin amazing together. Ian and Nina also shine off camera too, it would be amazing if they got together. But right now, please lets hope Damon and Elena get together in the end they have such great potential and obviously while Elena loves them both, i really think delena would be better in the long run.

DAMN RIGHT they have chemistry…they’re bloody perfect together! Ian and Nina should totally go out, and their onscreen characters, Damon and Elena, should date, too.

They should totally hook up. They have AMAZING chemistry and look adorable together. I say go for it. It’s really funny, these directors, producers, casting agents whatever put two drop dead gorgeous people together because they show great chemistry on screen and then everyone acts surprised if they end up jumping each other. nina is beautiful and ian is hot and handsome but I think ian’s beauty should not be paired with nina’s beauty.. because ian looks like a bit mexican same with nina.that’s why ian shoud date a girl who has an american beauty..

Oh please! Can I not vote “No, they shouldnt date in real life, but they should TOTALLY jump each other on the show?”.
They have amazing chemistry both on and off screen… But they shouldnt date because if they ever broke up it will probably ruin the Damon/Elena relationship on the show like it happened in a lot of shows before. And I am a HUGE Damon/Elena fan here. So they shoudl stick to being extremely adorable friends or big bro/ little sis.

I think Ian’s girlfriend might have a problem with that scenario. I choose to separate a tv show from reality. On the tv show, whatever chemistry the characters may or may not have is completely overshadowed by the fact that she’s in love with and intimate with his brother. Jumping from one brother to another is not a move that a so-called “good girl” would make.

I second that! :D I mean, I love seeing them together in real life too, but first of all: he HAS a girlfriend, and second: we have to think of the ramifications for the show if they ever broke up! but Delena: yes please, and lots of it! :D

Actually, Ian broke up with Meghan a while ago. When he did an interview in Australia, he referred to her as his ‘ex.’ They’re no longer together.
