Can You Believe John Krasinski Beat Out Kellan Lutz For The Role Of Captain America?

What the heck, Hollywood? How could you pick John Krasinski over Kellan Lutz?!
John Krasinski isn’t a superhero to the Kellan Lutz fans of the world!
During our EXCLUSIVE interview with Kellan last November, the super hot actor told us, “I really want to do an action movie.” And he told us he had his heart set on becoming Captain America!
“I’m a big fan,” he said of the Marvel comic. “So hopefully they make that movie soon. I’d love to play that! He is an American hero.”
Well, sorry Kellan but Fox 411 is reporting that nerdy office star is going to get the role. But we would rather have Kellan! John just seems too … gawky to play an action hero. We would even take Chace Crawford or Mike Vogel, who were also up for the role.
What about you BFFs? Are you bummed that Kellan won’t be starring in The First Avenger: Captain America? Or do you think maybe he’ll get the role of The Red Skull, Captain America’s on-screen enemy!—Corynne Steindler

Are u kidding? They picked John Krasinki probably cause…I dunno- HE CAN ACT!! Kellan Lutz has had maybe ten lines combined in Twilight and he’s proven even in tht sample tht he couldn’t act his way out of a paper bag. Captain America should be played by a ral actor not sum wannabe famewhore.

…Isn’t it only being “beat out” if one was already a contender. Weeks ago, the shortlist of actors being considered was released and Kellan Lutz wasn’t even being considered.
It just seems to me that an actor expressing interest in a role and being one of the people being considered are two incredibly different places.
Also, Krasinski may very well be out of the race according to several articles just a few hours ago.
