EXCLUSIVE! Latest ‘Biggest Loser’ Castoff Sherry Johnston On Changing Her Life: My Late Husband Would Be So Proud!

Can you imagine how liberating it would feel to lose nearly 100 pounds and start your life over at the age of 51?
Get ready to be inspired! The latest Biggest Loser: Couples castoff, Sherry Johnston, has lost nearly 100 hundred pounds since starting her weight loss journey at the ranch in September. The last “mom” of all the contestants to get the boot, Sherry shared that honoring her late husband was the motivation to get back into her 30-year-old size-five wedding dress.
“I think he would be absolutely delighted. I think he would be so proud of me,” the non-profit administrator from Knoxville, Tenn. told HollywoodLife.com March 17. “He tried to be healthy. He had some weight issues himself. So to be able to turn my life around and turn my diagnosis of pre-diabetic around, I think he would be absolutely amazed.”
Sherry, who competed on the Biggest Loser with her 27-year-old daughter Ashley, started off at 218 pounds and now weighs 135 pounds, which is only 30 pounds away from her goal weight. Although she had a difficult time giving up her vices – Coca-Cola and chocolate – she told us fitting into a smaller size was completely worth the sacrifice.
“I don’t think there’s anything I can’t do now, and that’s what’s exciting,” Sherry raved. “[My grandchildren and I] are going out to the parks and we’re playing frisbee golf and biking together…I think [my husband] would be amazed.”
