Is It Possible To Forgive A Murderer? Lifetime’s Emotional New Movie ‘Amish Grace’ Has The Answer!

If tragedy struck close to your home, how would you react?

Would you be able to forgive the person who MURDERED someone very dear to you? Well, Kimberly Williams-Paisley‘s character in Lifetime’s new movie, Amish Grace, can’t manage to forgive the family of the man who took her daughter’s life. But that’s not all! In this emotional movie, Ida’s internal struggles don’t match the values set upon her by her Amish community. They think forgiveness is the only way to mend a broken heart and move on. Do you agree with this belief?

If Ida doesn’t accept her community’s values, she will be banished — sent away from her family and friends — forever. Most people couldn’t even imagine going through a situation like this, but this film does make you think … what if this happened to me?

I know acceptance isn’t something I think I could handle, but, this story shows you that it is possible to do the unthinkable: forgive a muderer.

Amish Grace premieres at 8 p.m. tonight on Lifetime. It’s definitely a film you can’t miss!

Actually it’s about the aftermath of what happened in 2006. A gunman went into an Amish school in PA, killed 5, and injured another 5. The struggle for the families to deal with what happened and trying to forgive him. Not really boring.

no you cannot forgive that, but they live in a strange community, the women anyway has no voice there, it is all about the men, the oldest men have the rules…..what a terrible lifestyle, I would get out of there as fast as I could, and many does……….
