Kristen & Carey are battling it out for one of the most coveted roles in Hollywood! Who do you think will snag the lead in ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’?
Kristen Stewart is a bigger star — after all, she’s the star of Twilight — but Carey Mulligan has an Oscar nomination (for 2009′s An Education), so there’s sure to be fierce competition between the two for one of the hottest roles in Hollywood, playing the lead character Lisbeth in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Apparently, casting directors want a younger Angelina Jolie-type because it’s an “edgy, sexy, demanding role.”
They’ve battled it out once before: Both girls competed for the Orange Rising Star Award at the 2010 BAFTA Awards, and 20-year-old K-Stew took home the prize.
We can only imagine that K-Stew is dying to get her hands on this role! Based on the best selling novel by Stieg Larsson, the main character Lisbeth is a tough, sexy bisexual who is a computer hacker genius! Orginally a Swedish thriller, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is getting the ultimate Hollywood renovation. And we can’t help but notice that the Twilight darling looks uncanningly similar to Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, who plays Lisbeth in the original Eurpoean adaptation.
This role would be huge for both Kristen and Carey– there’s some major Oscar potential here! Kristen does have that mysterious vibe down pat, but we can see Carey, 24, successfully playing the edgy character as well. Kristen does not have the style to keep up with Carey who is so beautiful I just watched a movie called The Greatest and she is a very good actress and is so naturally beautiful,Kristen is someone you would meet at a local BBQ

Kristen should get the part for many obvious reasons; mostly for her latest delivery in the Runaways. She is an amazing actress that knows how to attract the audience;her edgy style will make for this character. For some reason, i find it hard to picture Mulligan in this character, really hard. Kristen all the way. No arrongance, no over the top attitude, a very wise, dedicated, and polite young woman. she should get it !!!!

edgy? rocker? tough? can easily be bisexual? the obviously choice is K.Stew. If you’ve seen the Runaways and her other movies then you know that the girl can act. Carey is amazing but she wouldn’t carry this role. It would make her like a wannabe. Definately K.Stew

I know, it’s hard to believe this, but: There’s this potion that you can put in your hair, and it will change the color of your hair! Also, there are these magical things called “extensions” that will make your hair look longer than it really is!
I understand if you don’t believe me (because it seems to unreal to imagine), but I’ve seen them with my own eyes.

Kristen is perfect for the role. While the Twilight saga did not require much in the form of acting, she was amazing in Speak, The Cake Eaters, Adventureland and The Runaways. I’ve read the books and I can not see Carey in the role – she looks too sweet and delicate. Kristen would rock this role…she’s edgy, gorgeous and definitely has the right attitiude.

I think the role should be given to Carey Mulligan. I feel she’s a better actress than Kristen and has more experience than the much younger Kristen. She has developed a maturity that Kristen couldn’t possibly have yet developed, being 4 years younger. Also Carey has a wider range of roles where experience is concerned and Kristen, unfortunately, has gotten stuck in the Twilight series. Don’t get me wrong Kristen has done a superb job playing Bella Swan but America loves her because of that role and this role-playing a bisexual, may tarnish her “innocent” image that America loves to see her as.

This isn’t a tweenage franchise like Twilight. This is an intensely violent story about financial corruption and the joy men can get from abusing and raping women. Kristen Stewart may have POTENTIAL but this role is too HUGE!! Mulligan is talented but this isn’t her scene.
Salander is a pint sized antisocial goth with a history of violence. She also has a photographic memory, autistic tendencies, is a self taught computer genius and solves 400 year maths problems for fun!! Noomi Rapace’s portrayal of this complex character was seamless. She was sensational.
This is the biggest female Hollywood role in years. I’d prefer a fresh unknow talent to be honest.
