EXCLUSIVE: Inside Jenny’s Personal Turmoil — Closes School For Autistic Children Amidst Split From Jim Carrey
Jenny McCarthy has had the worst two months of her life — her school and her man have vanished within 60 days!
Not only has Jenny McCarthy just split from her long-term lover Jim Carrey, HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively she has closed her state-of-the art and much-lauded school for young autistic children, Teach2Talk Academy, because of internal disagreements with her co-founder, Dr. Sarah Scheflen.
“Jenny and her partner at the Academy, Sarah Scheflen, had different visions for the school and made a decision to go their separate ways. Both intend to continue on in this important mission. Sarah and Jenny really enjoyed their time working at the Academy and feel honored that they were able to provide such high quality early intervention services to so many children with autism and other developmental disabilities,” Jenny’s rep told HollywoodLife.com in an exclusive statement, today, April 8.
The 37-year-old actress started the school after her son Evan, now seven, was diagnosed with autism in 2005, when he was two years-old. Jenny put considerable time and resources into the school, and, as recently as last winter, told KidsLA magazine how pleased she was with it: “I’m proud to say [Teach2Talk Academy] is an absolute success in terms of the amount of progress children with autism are making. We do have a goal to open more schools around the country. If I had Bill Gates‘ money, I would have them in every state.”
Located in a renovated house in Sherman Oaks, Calif., Talk2Teach Academy worked with children under the age of nine and was heralded for its unique one-to-one teacher-student ratio and integrated techniques. As of today, the Teach2Talk Web site was still selling its self-branded line of educational materials, including DVDs and nutritional supplements.
It was Jenny’s pet project — but, according to a source who knew the couple well, the school’s demise may even have been an additional strain that contributed to the end of her five-year relationship with 48-year-old Jim Carrey.
“I don’t know who broke up with whom, but I know that for a little bit before the school fell apart Jim was going to possibly buy out Jenny’s partner so the school would be all Jenny’s. Then, next thing I heard, [Jenny] was moving out [from Carrey's house],” an insider told us about the couple’s April 4 split . ”Jenny McCarthy has had…the worst two months of her life. Her school and her man all vanished in about 60 days.”
Jim announced he and Jenny were splitting via Twitter April 6: “Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay! ?;^>”

I am autistic myself and I think Jenny McCarthy behaves like she’s hopped up on crack or something, she never cured her son’s autism like she has claimed.
There are 2 possibilities with Evan, he is either autistic now or he never had autism to begin with, so I wanna know which is it, if he really was autistic when diagnosed then he is autistic now and didn’t get cured (it would be that improvements occurred rather than a cure).
And if he is not autistic at all then he never was to begin with.
So Evan either is or isn’t autistic, which is it Jenny? is he autistic now or was he never?
Sadly there are some parents out there who are taking false advice from Jenny McCarthy all because she is a big named celebrity instead of consulting with regular persons who actually have real experience (My parents and I all have 32 years experience being well im 32, so times 32 by 3 and add my sister’s age of 30, that equals 126 years experience for my family on autism and that is way more than the so called experience of Jenny McCarthy).

First of all Jenny’s son does not have Autism. He was misdiagnosed. She has admitted this in Time magazine. But she has managed to convince tons of ignorant people that vacinations cause autism. I always go to a former Playboy bunny and game show host for a medical diagnosis don’t you??
But it is a shame that a school that was probably helping some kids has to close…

Gidget – it was speculated in Time that her son had a different disorder by people who have never treated or even met Evan. He was diagnosed as having autism at UCLA, so I fail to believe that neurologist (one of the best in CA, if not the US) misdiagnosed him. You also can’t diagnose someone as having Landau-Kleffner syndrome (what was mentioned in Time) unless you perform an EEG usually during REM sleep on the person. Otherwise, the symptoms are very close to autism. By the way, you should google the disorder they speculated, because children do NOT recover from it at his age, they get worse or are not diagnosed until around age four to seven. Why don’t you research a thing or two before you make such condescending comments? Just because someone portrayed a certain person earlier in their life does not mean they are stupid. If that was the case then how are any college students ever taken seriously in their professions?

i think jenny needs to back the heck off about her autistic kid and try to give him, and her, a more normal life. also, it would be better if she would get into a relationship with a guy that is different than jim carrey, who is an untreated bipolar. what a mess…..this is my perspective anyway…

jim carrey needs to get himself to a psychiatrist and get medication and get therapy…he is way up and funny and way down and in his room for days. he is bipolar and untreated, and not able to be with himself , or, especially in a relationship. maybe because jenny has such an overemphasis on her autistic kid, she was with him, now she is done with him, and i hope she gives her son a more normal life….

Puh-lease, this stinks of 2 women who could not get along (admitting to having disagreements of the direction of the school). Going as far as having Jim Carrey buy-out the doctor “so the school would be all Jenny’s.”
This is an ego thing. Pure and simple. I am not saying I am privy to this, but bipolar or not, it seems that Jim may have had enough and bolted. At the moment, it sounds very much like this one is on Jenny, at least with the info we have to go on.
